60 Years strong! – A Seniors Week Anniversary Generation Exchange

Seniors Week celebrated its 60^th anniversary this year!

To commemorate the anniversary, SANDBAG, The Brighton Wellness Hub, and Jabiru Community College collaborated in hosting a ‘Generation Exchange’ event. The event was hosted at The Brighton Wellness Hub. To personify this generation exchange, a group of students from Jabiru participated in a series of activities with the seniors from the wellness hub. Along with Lawn Bowls, craft, and ‘men’s shed’, the students and seniors also shared the exchange of generational experiences and perspectives. As a result, the seniors were able to show their skills off on bowling green, and pass down life lessons to open ears. Both parties stated they had really enjoyed the event, and were looking forward to more generational exchange opportunities in the future.
